Well, I finally got around to reading this book that a friend told me about a loooong time ago. Kind of funny really considering what the book is about! Taking time to take care of yourself.
Written over 10 years ago, the advice in Ken Blanchard’s The One Minute Manager Balances Work and Life still stands today. All too often, in our stressful and hectic lives, we forget to take care of ourselves, our fitness and ultimately our health. I’m sure you can all relate. Obtaining the elusive work-life balance is difficult: we work, but forget to make time for exercise, or eat right, or take time to treat ourselves & our bodies with respect. Intellectually, everyone knows that not only does exercise and healthy eating help in combating stress, but it also increases performance. (more…)
